Standard for oil used in construction machinery

Engineering machinery oil refers to special lubricating oil specially used for large mechanical equipment such as excavators, loaders, lifting machines, forklifts, cranes, concrete mixers and road rollers. Mainly includes construction machinery special diesel turbocharged engine oil, construction machinery special anti-wear hydraulic oil, heavy load gear oil, hydraulic transmission oil, a total of four categories, more than ten varieties.

Engine oil (diesel oil)

Construction machinery is often in a high speed and high load working state, the role of engine oil is to transport lubricating oil to the friction surface of the moving parts, in order to achieve lubrication, sealing, cleaning, cooling, hydraulic, buffering and rust prevention.

Selection: The quality level selection should be determined according to the recommendation of the internal combustion engine manufacturer, the mechanical and thermal load of the diesel engine, the severity of the working conditions and other factors.

Viscosity grades can be selected based on:

1, ambient temperature: if it is often in a high temperature environment, high viscosity oil should be selected, such as 15W-40 or even 20W-50, if it is used in northern winter, oil with better low temperature performance should be selected.

2, load: large tonnage, heavy load, continuous high-speed operation of construction machinery, should choose high viscosity oil, so as to ensure that high temperature to provide enough oil film strength; Small mechanical equipment with small load and mild working condition can use diesel engine oil with lower viscosity.

3, new and old equipment: new equipment with small gaps in all aspects, can choose low viscosity oil. The old equipment has a certain degree of wear and tear, and the gap is large, and the oil with greater viscosity is needed to achieve better sealing requirements, so the old equipment generally has higher oil viscosity.

Transmission system (hydraulic oil)

Hydraulic transmission is a fluid transmission which uses liquid kinetic energy to transfer energy. The impeller converts the input speed and torque of the power machine (internal combustion engine, electric motor, turbine, etc.) and drives the working part of the machine through the output shaft. The liquid interacts with the impellers installed on the input shaft, output shaft and housing to produce a change in the moment of momentum, thereby transferring energy.

Choice: Hydraulic transmission oil is not only the transmission medium of hydraulic transmission, but also the hydraulic control oil for shift actuators, such as wet shift clutches, shift brakes and various control valves in automatic control shift hydraulic systems, but also provides lubrication and cooling for bearings and gears in torque converters and gear transmissions. Therefore, hydraulic transmission oil is a very demanding oil, which is directly related to the reliability, transmission efficiency and service life of hydraulic components. Hydraulic transmission oil commonly used for construction machinery has No. 6, No. 8 and other products.

Heavy duty gear oil

The gear transmission device of construction machinery mainly includes transmission device, steering machine, gearbox of front and rear drive axle and universal joint needle roller bearing and other parts. The importance of transmission in the power system is second only to the engine. The stepped transmission is the most widely used, which uses gear transmission and has a number of fixed transmission ratios.

Selection: In order to make the transmission work long-term, smoothly and effectively, it is necessary to add the appropriate vehicle gear oil to reduce the friction and wear of the gear, transfer the heat generated by the friction surface, and prevent corrosion and rust.

The performance characteristics of vehicle gear oil mainly lie in its small kinematic viscosity, excellent extreme pressure anti-wear, good low temperature performance, excellent viscosity temperature performance and energy saving and environmental protection performance. General equipment optional GL-5 level. Depending on the load and ambient temperature, the viscosity level can be 80W-90, 85W-90, 85W-140.
